Position Summary

The Coiled Tubing Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of the coiled tubing job, including, but not limited to, communicating and interacting with the customer representative on the job site, making or assisting in making hiring decisions, making termination decisions regarding coiled tubing field personnel, organizing a crew of field personnel to perform the job, ordering the supplies required for the job, making sure all equipment needed is inspected before and after jobs and is routed to the correct locations, directing the work of the crew members, supervising the job, establishing safety measures and filling out the required safety paperwork for submission, and making sure all necessary paperwork is filled out and submitted for billing and exposure hour tracking.

Key Accountabilities

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the coiled tubing process as it pertains to C&J
  • Knowledge and implementation of safety policies and required procedures
  • Able to operate the majority of C&J equipment w/o supervision
  • Capable of supervising others
  • Knowledge and understanding of all operations
  • Knowledge of DOT drug and alcohol reasonable suspicion testing guidelines
  • Attainment of customer loyalty (in high demand by customer, asked for by name)
  • Must be able to pass a DOT drug test and medical examination
  • Must meet the minimum physical requirements
  • Must be able and willing to work in extreme climate and work conditions
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work well with others, and work independently when required
  • Must possess the communications skills required to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Pass the company's "Physical Functions Assessment"

Required Experience and Education

  •  2-5 years Supervisory experience in Coiled Tubing and High Pressure Pumps and/or 2-5 years of continuous employment with C& J·
  • Extensive outside experience may substitute for C&J employment requirement.·
  • Must complete the DOT Reasonable Suspicion D&A training and safety training required for supervisors.·
  • Must have a Valid State Class “A” CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
  • No more than 2 accident(s) violations in the last three (3) years.
  • No more than 3 moving violations (speeding, etc) in the last three (3) years.
  • No more than one (1) accident and no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
  • No DWI/DUI in the last five (5) years
